Due to the spread of COVID19, the Date Musha Samurai Festival has been canceled for 2020 and 2021.
In 2022, the festival will change its format to the “46th Date Samurai Festival – Datamachi Week Campaign” from July 23 (Sat) to August 7 (Sun), 2022, and will include a samurai armor display event, a festival float display event, a stamp rally event at restaurants, and a week-long T-shirt and polo shirt pre-order event. A “stamp rally event” will be held at restaurants, and T-shirts and polo shirts will be available for pre-order for a limited period of one week.

COVID19の感染拡大に伴い、伊達武者まつりは2020年、2021年は中止となりました。
2022（令和4）年は形式を変え、「第46回伊達武者まつり〜だてまちweekの陣〜」と題して７月23日（土）〜８月７日（日）の期間で武者甲冑の展示イベント、お祭り山車の展示イベント、飲食店でのスタンプラリーイベント、1週間限定でＴシャツ・ポロシャツの予約販売を行います。
